Motivi and the lengerie-inspired top (P)
“I have nothing to wear!” it’s the most common thought (and sometimes scream) I have when I open my wardrobe. I can’t say that’s real but it’s clearly frustrating and annoying. Throughout the years I realize that to avoid it, as much as possible, I need to rethink the hierarchy of my clothes and always reinvent my style. I like casual clothes with a masculine touch, but you can’t mix that forever. So this year I’ve tried a new garment, something very simple, feminine and delicate, a trend that bloomed this fall: the lingerie-inspired top. I found the best and also affordable one at Motivi.
Motivi is an Italian brand which surprisingly still makes many of their clothes in Italy. You can find everything you need in their shop, from accessories to trendy winter jackets and shoes, at affordable prices.
So I got my lace underwear-inspired top, but clearly I was out of my comfort zone and feeling like holding a new-born in my arms that started to cry. So I had to quickly decide what’s next, and that ‘next’ was a new soft over-sized pullover (made in Italy!) to throw it over my top and hide it. I couldn’t resist a pair of ripped off grey jeans to balance the delicate top and also to feed my tomboy-ish side. This is an outfit that you can easily pull off and sneak out the door without too many explanations. Just don’t forget the messy hair and a trashy red car.
And this is not the end, because I am not such a good girl. And I do love leather.
